Description

Indonesian Army KOPASSUS Commando Fairbairn–Sykes style Fighting Knife & Scabbard.

Named to an Australian Commando on the back of the scabbard.

This is a older issue knife with a cast handle and Cross Guard. The cross guard is showing some wear and splits in the metal.

please look at the photos. The blade shows wear from use and age. There is also a small crack in the handle.

The blade is around 17cm long and the overall length is around 29.3cm.

I can see no Markings on the blade of handle but I think It is made in Germany by Carl Schlieper of Solingen .

The Scabbard is made from Brown Leather with a Metal tip on the base of the scabbard.

The metal has some surface rust and needs a good clean. The top leather securing strap is missing and has

been replaced with some OD Green para cord at some stage.

On the back of the scabbard is hand scratched the following " 3475 . 27196 ".

I don't know what the 1st set of numbers means but the 2nd set is an Australian Army Commando's Serial Number.

His information is below .It came from a relative of his.He served in the 2/5th Australian Commando Squadron

during the war but i don't know what his service was after the war.So i don't know where he got the knife.

over all in good used condition and sold as is.

if you want more photos , please just ask.

Unfortunately I can't ship this knife to VICTORIA or ACT!
